Thrive Aid participated in the 8th Annual Mental Health Conference Zambia, held from 1st to 2nd October 2026 at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. Under the theme “A Family Approach to Mental Health,” Thrive Aid’s CEO, Melody Chisanga, delivered an oral presentation on “Community-Based Recovery Coaching: A Pathway to Family Reintegration for Street-Connected Children in Zambia.”

Thrive Aid participated in the 2026 YouthConnekt National Summit, held from 29–30 September at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. Under the theme “Green Hustle: Cultivating Wealth, Creating Jobs,” the summit focused on youth entrepreneurship, innovation, skills development, green enterprise, and sustainable job creation.
Thrive Aid Launches 9th Library at Chazanga Combined School, Reaching 8,288 Learners
Thrive Aid has launched its ninth library under the Old Books for New Eyes Initiative at Chazanga Combined School, providing 8,288 learners with access to books and reading spaces. The initiative is supported by Old Books for New Eyes, Lions District 413, Mount Meru, Freight Systems, Maersk, and Suhara.
Thrive Aid Participates in Validation of Out-of-School Youth Life Skills and Health Education Framework
Thrive Aid joined the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, UNFPA Zambia, SafeAid, and other partners in Lusaka to validate the Out-of-School Youth Life Skills and Health Education (OSY-LSHE) Framework. The initiative aims to improve access to essential health information and life skills for young people outside the formal education system.
Thrive Aid Concludes 2026 Literacy and Career Mentorship Hub with Secondary School Learners
Thrive Aid concluded the 2026 Literacy and Career Mentorship Hub at Lions Den, Lusaka Showgrounds, bringing together secondary school learners from Bauleni, Chinika, Chunga, and Chazanga Secondary Schools. The programme featured literacy competitions, an inter-school debate, career guidance, mental health awareness, and a prize-giving ceremony under the Old Books for New Eyes Initiative.
Thrive Aid Hosts Day One of Literacy and Career Mentorship Hub in Lusaka
Thrive Aid held the first day of the Literacy and Career Mentorship Hub at the Lions Den, Lusaka Showgrounds, under the Old Books for New Eyes Initiative. Primary school learners from six schools participated in literacy competitions, entertainment showcases, prize-giving, and career mentorship sessions with young professionals in engineering and law.
